He called upon the Lord of Light to expose the evildoer if he or she be among them, and mark the wretch with a visage equal to their inner wickedness. Vornex was delighted by this ridiculous show of fear and piety... Until his body began to tingle. Apparently Karuss didn't see fit to cure the blind man, aid the infirm, or protect the village idiot from false accusations. But he had the time and inclination to turn the boy into a fiend with glowing orange flesh. Everyone screamed -- Vornex and his parents loudest among them.
