III. Dearest sister, I've met a wonderful man! His name's Pietri, and he's the local blacksmith. I saw him in his forge, with sweat glistening on his muscles, and I almost swooned -- until some unkind man said I was blocking the street, and pushed me down in a puddle. IV. Dearest sister, Pietri and I had ever so much fun at the pub. The local ale seemed quite ghastly at first, but my tongue soon lost all sense of taste and was able to enjoy it. V. Dearest sister, Please forgive me for being so tardy in sending this letter. Over the past weeks things have just been happening so very quickly that I haven't had time to write. I've been faced with a terrible dilemma! Pietri is a wonderful man, and he loves me with all his heart! But, alas, I can only love him with half my own. We were enjoying dinner in the public house, when a stranger came in -- holding a lute. He said his name was Phineas, and he was a wandering bard. He asked the barkeep if he could play for his supper. Oh! His music! It was like being transported to the heavens! He has the soul of a poet, and the voice of an angel! But the succubus caught it and gave it back. Of course, I was started at first, but she was ever so nice! She said her mistress in hell understood all about forbidden love, and would help me. She was so much friendlier than the local clerics, with their bossy little gods! I asked if she could bring me, Pietri, and Phineas together, so we could all love each other and live happily ever after. And she said she would!
