During his childhood, Emeric's mother was West Kruna's ambassador to Nine Rivers and the surrounding nations. Thus he grew up far from his native land, and became enamored with eastern martial arts even as his mother's tales filled him with youthful dreams about western chivalry. Both these influences remain strong in him today, though he's spent many years back in his native kingdom. Emeric wears the plate of a West Krunan knight, but his fighting style still owes much to those distant places.
